Cloud infrastructure refers to back-end elements that consolidate hardware and software components like servers, storage, network, virtual machines, multi-sockets, LAN (switches and routers) and cloud infra management tools that support computing operations of any cloud computing platform. All these components are hosted by a service provider and delivered to users over the web
It also consists of a hardware abstraction layer that enables virtualization of resources and services to users via Application program interface (API) /API enabled command /graphical interfaces to drive advantages with efficient production.

How does cloud infrastructure works?
To understand the functions of cloud infrastructure, it can be divided into front=end and back-end which are connected through a network. Where the front end is on the side of the computer user or client that allows the user to access data stored in the cloud using an internet browser or cloud software. Whereas, at the backend, there are various computers, servers and data storage systems, databases and central servers which are the primary components of cloud computing
The central server supports operations by following a set of rules called protocols. It uses software, middleware, to ensure seamless connectivity between devices/computers connected through cloud computing. Cloud computing service providers usually maintain multiple copies of the data to lessen the chances of security threats, data loss, data breach, etc.
